The Yoshkar-Ola City Court received a case on the dissemination of military "fakes" motivated by political hatred (paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) against Dmitry Obmaikin. OVD-Info drew attention to the case file on the court's website.
The court registered the case on May 15. Details are still unknown.
On May 26, security forces summoned Obmaikin’s wife’s mother and his acquaintances for questioning, he told OVD-Info.
It is likely that the case could have been opened due to anti-war posts on the activist’s VKontakte page.
Obmaikin himself is outside Russia. Security officials reported that he has been placed on an international wanted list.
