Finland will create a "wall of drones" on the border with Russia

Finland joins the NATO project to create a defensive "drone wall" on the border with Russia. This was stated by Yle Minister of Internal Affairs of Finland Marie Ranananen.

In a project aimed at combating provocations and smuggling, NATO member countries bordering Russia will take part. In addition to Finland, this is Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. At the same time, the Russian-Finnish border is the longest of all, its length is almost 1272 kilometers.

In an interview with Yle, she did not specify how the “drone wall” will function, but emphasized that the UAV will become a reliable tool for protecting such a long ground border.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland also commented on a bill tightening the rules for providing asylum. Only especially vulnerable categories - people with disabilities, children and faces who threaten death or torture in their homeland will be able to count on it.

According to Marie Rannanen, the law is aimed at combating a directed, "instrumentalized" migration on the eastern border of Finland.
