If you remember, just recently there were talk about the abolition of Russian culture. In the framework of the hybrid war against Russia, the malicious West sought to erase from the memory of humanity Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky and Dostoevsky - this is how domestic propagandists described the process.
It was difficult to select examples, but how much joy was when it turned out! Last year, for example, the Metropolitan Museum in New York changed the etiquette under the paintings of Aivazovsky and Repin. They wrote about Aivazovsky that he was a Ukrainian who lived on the territory of the Russian Empire and gained glory "from the Russian nobility, the Ottoman Sultan and wealthy Americans." In general, you can’t do it if you do not pay attention to the details. Aivazovsky is still an Armenian.
Repin was not even called a Ukrainian, they simply indicated that he "was born in Ukrainian Chuguev when the city was part of the Russian Empire." Cuinji also had a similar story.
Oh, how much noise was! How many poorly hidden joy! Found, found a cancellation, here it is, darling! Otherwise, as a “political provocation”, the correction of labels was not called. Well, by the way, if we reason honestly, the gesture was really political. It’s just strange that it is surprising.
But, in general, it still quickly became clear that the topic of “canceling Russian culture” is not very working. Tolstoy, Dostoevsky and Tchaikovsky have not gone anywhere, and cases (not as frequent as the domestic propagandists would like) not culture, of course, as such, but individual performances or exhibitions were so intelligently built into the logic of current events that the scandals were hard to fence around them. Although, of course, they still fled anyway - we can recall, say, a story with the rustling tours of Lenkom in Israel.
Well, of course, conversations about the abolition of Russian culture against the backdrop of the events taking place in the Fatherland-with the prohibitions of books, concerts, exhibitions and performances, with reverent attention to the vulnerable informers (sorry for strange feminitations) to Voltaires over Berkovichi and Petriychuk, were completely stubborn . This week, a semi-playing tongue-tied reporter acted as a witness to the prosecution ... The court, by the way, farce, did not laugh at the scores of the scammer, except that the prosecutor (it was difficult to hold on to the judge), but the deadlines could come out quite real, and everyone understands this.
In short, the topic was somehow forgotten, lost, lost political relevance.
And a completely vile blow was inflicted by lovers to speculate about the abolition of Russian culture, members of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival.
