Women and young people have started visiting casinos in Russia more often, RBC reports , citing representatives of the Russian gambling zones Krasnaya Polyana, Primorye, and Sibirskaya Moneta.
According to the general director of the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone, Natalia Voldaeva, the number of women playing in casinos has increased by about 16% over the past few years. "If five years ago the ratio of male and female audiences was 70 to 30%, now it is 55 to 45%," she said.
Voldaeva also noted that the age of visitors has changed in recent years. "At the time of the opening of the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone, the core was represented by visitors aged 45+. Now our core is 26–35, and the number of visitors aged 18 to 25 is also growing," Voldaeva said.
The increase in the number of women in 2024 was also noted by the executive director of the Tigre de Cristal casino, Stelios Tsifetakis. He claims that the share of women among casino visitors reaches 36%. “If we talk about other components of the gambling zone (Primorye - Ed. "Kholoda") - about the hotel and restaurants, then many families with children come to us,” added Tsifetakis.
Altai Palace CEO Dmitry Belyanin noted that in the last three years, the casino's visitors have increasingly been married couples and young people over 20. He linked this to the fact that his casino operates within the Siberian Coin resort. "The average visitor's income ranges from average to very high. The share of regular visitors is about 80%," Belyanin added.
As RBC notes, citing the executive director of the Association of Entertainment and Event Tourism Operators Dmitry Anfinogenov, the change in the casino audience occurred due to their integration into the tourist zone.
"The game has become just one of the recreation scenarios. Concerts, sports shows, gastronomic dinners, theatrical performances, health treatments and much more have been added to it," Afinogenov asserts.
