The European Union imposed sanctions against the governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako. This is stated in the statement of the EU Council.
Kozhemyako was on the list for help in military cooperation between Russia and the DPRK. "As a Governor of the Primorsky Territory, he played a key role in organizing the visit of the DPRK leader Kim Jong -un to Russia in September 2023. During the visit, Mr. Kozhemyako was presented with Kim Jong -unit military uniforms and weapons that were imported into the DPRK to study in return engineering, which is a violation of the UN supply sanctions," the said in sanctions justification.
In addition, the sanctions were imposed against the "Eastern Stevorian Company", which delivered ammunition from the DPRK to Russia, as well as against nine people and organizations in the DPRK itself.

According to the Ministry of Defense of South Korea, since 2022, Russia could purchase more than 3 million artillery shells from North Korea and more than 500,000 shells for rocket laptops. Russia, in turn, can supply the DPRK of technology for space launches. Officially, Moscow and Pyongyang did not confirm this.
