The speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili signed the Law "On the Transparency of Foreign Infant", the news agency News Agency reports .

This happened after on May 28 the Georgian parliament overcame the Veto President Salome Zurabishvili to the bill.

After overcoming the veto, the bill was re -sent to the President of Georgia. In the event of a repeated refusal to sign the document, under the legislation of Georgia, the law is signed and published by the chairman of the parliament within a five -day period.

In accordance with the Law on "Ino -Agents", until the beginning of August, the relevant state bodies must adopt and publish by -laws.

In addition, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the National Agency of the Public Register should hold "preliminary material and technical and other events to fulfill this law," reports Echo of the Caucasus.

Since August, non-governmental organizations and the media, which receive more than 20% of income from abroad, must submit applications for registration as organizations conducting the interests of foreign power within a month.

The four countries of the European Union - Estonia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Sweden - called on the authorities of the European Union to impose sanctions against Georgia if the law on "foreign agents" is adopted there.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the State Department introduces a new policy of visa restrictions for Georgia, which will be applied to persons responsible for "undermining democracy" in the country.
