The Czech Republic launched a pilot project of voluntary returning home Ukrainian refugees

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic launches a pilot project of voluntary return for Ukrainian refugees who received temporary protection status. The Czech Republic plans to pay refugees to the bus tickets, and to patients to provide transportation. It is reported by Radio Prague International.

The pilot project will last from June to November. As part of the project, the Czech Republic is ready to pay for tickets for 400 people, as well as organize a sanitary transport for 30 patients. The concept of voluntary return was approved by the government in mid -May. Five and a half million kroons (more than 240 thousand dollars) were allocated to the program. Refugees will be able to take the possibility of paid voluntary return only once.

The director of the integration and migration association Czech Republic Magda Faltova predicts that a small part of the refugees will use the program - primarily those who do not have financial means or have any health problems.

In April, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 339 thousand citizens of Ukraine lived in the Czech Republic who left their country from a full -scale Russian invasion. According to Magda Faltova, the number of refugees with temporary protection in the Czech Republic in recent months has practically not changed.
