Saudi Arabia and Pakistan do not plan to take part in a summit on peaceful settlement in Ukraine, which should be held in the Swiss burghentic from June 15 to 16.

According to the German agency, DPA, quoted by Bild, received from sources in diplomatic circles in Riyadh, the reason for the decision of Saudi Arabia is that the delegation of Russia will not be present at the summit.

There were no official comments from the Saudi Arabia authorities yet.

According to The Express Tribune , the country's authorities will most likely miss the summit in the framework of their efforts to preserve the "neutrality".

Sources of the publication say that since Russia was not invited to the summit, it may be useless. However, according to them, the final decision has not yet been made.

Earlier, China officially stated that he did not intend to participate in the summit, since Russia will be absent.

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stated on May 2 that the Kremlin has no serious expectations from the summit in Switzerland without Russia's participation.

“ Such countries as China need to protect Ukraine. Because we were attacked. Because when China says that you need to respect territorial integrity, this is the most important. So, did the Russian Federation not violated our territorial integrity under the leadership of Putin, namely our sovereignty? ”, Zelensky added in an interview.
