
The Federal Security Service of Russia said that she revealed the agent network that allegedly operating in Sevastopol, which planned terrorist attacks against military personnel of the Black Sea Fleet and infrastructure facilities in the region. This was reported by RBC by reference to the Center for Public Relations of the FSB.
According to the agency, the agent network included five people who were allegedly recruited by the special services of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhya region. The goals of their attacks were to be officers of the Black Sea Fleet, military, transport and energy facilities, in particular the airfield in the village of Kacha to the north of Sevastopol.
According to the FSB, the agents allegedly received explosive devices and means of defeat from the territory of Ukraine by mail and using bus transportation, laid in caches, and the coordinates were sent to Ukrainian curators. They set tasks for committing specific sabotage or terrorist attacks. They were prevented by the fact that the FSB controlled the activities of agents.
Criminal cases of a terrorist attack and state treason were initiated against the detainees. They can face life imprisonment.
