The USA decided who would come to the Mira summit in Switzerland

The United States at the Mira summit in Switzerland will be represented by US Vice President Kamal Harris on June 15-16. This was reported in the White House on June 3.

"The vice president will emphasize the commitment of the Biden-Harris administration to support the efforts of Ukraine to ensure a fair and long world on the basis of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and the principles of the UN statute," the administration of Joe Bayden said.

Together with Harris, Jake Sullivan, a national security adviser to National Security, will go to Lucerne.

Earlier it became known that US President Joe Biden will not be able to take part in the world summit. According to media outlets, at this time he will participate in an event to raise funds for his election campaign in California.

Leaders of more than 160 countries were invited to the global summit of the world to Switzerland, 107 countries and organizations have already confirmed their participation.

In particular, the presence of the leaders of several G7 countries is expected: German Chancellor Olaf Sholts, Premieres of Canada and Japan Justin Trudeau and Fumio Kisida.

Also, the organization of the United Nations confirmed its presence at the global summit of the world on peaceful settlement in Ukraine.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan do not plan to take part in the world summit in Switzerland. The reason for the decision of Saudi Arabia, according to the media, is that the delegation of Russia will not be present at the summit. The authorities of Pakistan are likely to miss the summit in the framework of their efforts to preserve the "neutrality".

Earlier, China and Brazil officially stated that they did not intend to participate in the summit, since Russia will be absent.

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stated on May 2 that the Kremlin has no serious expectations from the summit in Switzerland without Russia's participation.
