France will supply Ukraine as military assistance to Mirage 2000-5 fighters, Emmanuel Macron announced.
“Tomorrow we will begin new cooperation and announce the transfer of Mirage 2000-5, French combat aircraft that will allow Ukraine to protect its land, its airspace,” the French president said in an interview with the French media. The number of combat aircraft that will be transferred to Kyiv, he did not specify.
In addition, Paris organizes a six -month courses for the preparation of Ukrainian pilots, and also intends to participate in the training of the Ukrainian brigade of 4,500 military, Macron said.
The official negotiations of the presidents of France and Ukraine will be held in Paris on June 7. As expected , the parties will sign two agreements that provide for the allocation of 650 million euros in the form of loans and grants to support local authorities and critical infrastructure.
