Bloomberg: Russia did not take advantage of Ukraine's weapons shortage

Russia appears to have been unable to take advantage of the delay in allied arms supplies to Ukraine to achieve significant gains at the front. Bloomberg reports this.

The agency notes that the Russian army has achieved only limited success in several months. And now that Kyiv has begun to receive billions of dollars worth of weapons, the possibilities for a Russian breakthrough are dwindling.

Russia's attempt to open a new front in the Kharkov region appears to be stalled, and the Kremlin's goal of creating a "sanitary zone" along the border has not been achieved, the publication said.

Bloomberg recalls that after taking Avdiivka at the cost of huge losses in February, Russian troops have been trying to take Chasov Yar in the east of the Donetsk region for several months.

The strategy to deplete Ukraine's armed forces is very expensive and bloody for the Russian army itself, according to Russian experts interviewed by Bloomberg.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in an evening address on Saturday, said that the Russian military “failed to implement the Kharkov operation.” According to Zelensky, this is an important result of the actions of the Ukrainian army.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin insists that Moscow’s military goals have not changed and Russia will fight as long as necessary to defeat Ukraine, Bloomberg recalls.
