Investigators ask Moscow court to ban certain actions by "Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR" in terrorism case

The investigation is asking the Basmanny District Court of Moscow to impose a ban on certain actions against Vladimir Kladinov, who calls himself "Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR." Mediazona found information about this in the database of Moscow courts.

It is not yet known when exactly the hearing will take place. The materials of Kladinov's case were received by the court today, June 10.

The man is accused of committing a terrorist act (Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code). It is not specified what exactly became the reason for the criminal case. Moskovsky Komsomolets wrote about Kladinov's persecution without details back in January. In mid-March, Rosfinmonitoring added him to the list of terrorists.

As noted in the report by the Sova Research Center, Vladimir Kladinov is an associate of Valentina Reunova, who calls herself the “chairwoman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.” In August 2018, the organization held events in 30 populated areas of Russia, during which its supporters “planted USSR flags and notified [local] administrations about the return of Soviet property.”

In addition, in 2019, the "Supreme Soviet of the USSR" issued a "sentence to traitors" - the entire Russian government, leaders of political parties, and then-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Supporters of Reunova and Kladinov also declared Russian passports invalid and "obliged" the Russian authorities to pay all "citizens of the USSR" $50,000.

Courts in Russia's regions have recognized various "Citizens of the USSR" associations, including the "Supreme Soviet of the USSR," as "extremist" organizations.
