In Shebekino, residents of a multi-storey building where one of the entrances collapsed on June 14 said that local authorities are not providing them with any assistance. This is reported by the project "We Can Explain".
The publication's interlocutors said that they are forced to live in apartments with broken windows in a building that is awaiting demolition. According to them, the local administration is ignoring their requests.
"They haven't even covered our windows with film yet, although they promised to do it on the weekend. It's been raining for the second day, there's water in the apartments. Nobody needs anything, you can't get through to anyone, everyone is passing the buck to each other. The promised 10 and 50 thousand rubles to people who lost their life's work of housing, equipment, etc. are tears, not help," shared one of the residents of the building.
Another resident of the building said that she had taken eight bags of glass out of her apartment. The woman still has not been able to get workers to visit her to replace the windows.
“I called the administration today, everyone brushed me off, saying that they hadn’t appointed a contractor and that they weren’t doing window coverings, and in Gladkov’s presence they said that everything would be done on Friday and Saturday, and Monday has already passed,” she noted.
The woman also added that due to the lack of support, the residents of the house cannot rent another home for themselves - they do not have enough money for this.
"No benefits or payments, housing is expensive, food in the store is more expensive than in Moscow, the real salary is 30 thousand at best. Here we are all alone, wallowing in our grief, burying, feeding, clothing soldiers, while Moscow dances and dances. We were exchanged for the resources of the DPR and LPR. I just want to die from such a life. We are abandoned people, an abandoned region," she said.
The entrance of a five-story apartment building in Shebekino was destroyed as a result of shelling on June 14. According to Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, six people were injured. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported seven casualties. According to Gladkov, five local residents died as a result of the collapse.
In May, the entrance of one of the houses collapsed after shelling in a multi-story building in Belgorod. The explosion and subsequent collapse occurred on Shchorsa Street. A few minutes before, local Telegram channels reported that an alarm had been declared in the city. As a result of the collapse, 16 apartments were completely destroyed, and at least 15 people died .
