Therapy is not enunch. Petersburgers connected the canvases with ironic inscriptions about the news and IKEA - and this is very stylish

How does knitting help not only put thoughts in order, but also express yourself? Participants in the course of an entrepreneur from St. Petersburg Varvara Shcherbakov-Litvyak created canvases using the technique of file knitting with texts about news, therapy and departure of IKEA. Together with the author of the schemes and photographer Valeria Smirnova and stylist Ekaterina Tuvaeva, the girl was shooting stylized work. And you certainly need to see this beauty.

The creator of the course Varvara Shcherbakov-Litvyak told the “Paper” that the idea of ​​an art project and a scheme for filing knitting belonged to Valeria Smirnova, and a group of enthusiasts with the course took part in the implementation.

- We want to influence the perception of knitting as a way of self -expression. To inspire creativity, to unite like -minded people. Everyone supports himself in different ways, and as a way to keep calm, knitting helps a lot.

Another component of the project is the idea of ​​the continuity of generations. For a photo shoot, the decorator Alena Zueva collected knitted tablecloths, which were stored in older women. With their help, multilayer images of models in the photo shoots were created, on which the stylist Ekaterina Tuvaeva had already worked . “Knitting products can be transmitted from generation to generation as a relic,” Barbara comments.

- I really wanted the stylization on the set to be to some extent theatrical, unusable, deliberately puff and dense. Therefore, we were looking for a flying stylist, but for some reason we could not find him. Katya came to the opening of my exhibition, we met there, I later offered to participate, and she agreed.

The canvases knitted seven students of the course. Each worked on the product for 50-60 hours or three to four weeks. One canvas required 9-13 skeletons of yarn. Pupils from Moscow and St. Petersburg arrived on the shooting.

- It seems to me that we got an important project that united the girls with a similar idea of ​​the beautiful and the importance of manual labor. Work on one idea, the feeling that you are very important in the supporting circle now and always.
