The court arrested a military man who deserted from the army of an attempt to rape and kill a 12-year-old girl in the Kemerovo region

The Tomsk garrison military court arrested the war participant Andrei Bykov, accused of the murder of a 12-year-old girl after an attempt to rape, the press service of the court said.

Bykov served in the army under a contract, but in April 2024 he deserted from the unit without returning to the service. According to investigators, on June 18, he took a 12-year-old girl to a deserted place and tried to rape, threatening her with a murder. When she began to resist and tried to run away, Bykov “in order to conceal the indicated crime, as well as out of revenge for resistance,” killed the girl, inflicting at least two strokes of metal sharpening in the chest area and strangling her pants.

Bykov was charged with the murder (paragraphs “c” and “K” of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code), an attempt to rape (part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code, paragraph “B” of part 4 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code) and desertion (part 3 of Article 338 of the Criminal Code).

Bykov was detained on June 19. On the same day, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case in connection with the disappearance of the 12-year-old Karina Kakova. Soon her body was found in a well in the city of the furnaces of the Kemerovo region with traces of violent death.

The publications "Siberian Express" and "Siberia. Real" found that the full namesake of Bykov was convicted six times for serious crimes. In 2019, he received 13.5 years in a colony of special regime after he strangled his neighbor in the country, who made him a remark.

In addition, the Siberian Express publication found that the full namesake of Bykov was on the list of war participants who returned from Ukrainian captivity in 2024, published by the Storm Z telegram channel.

The video, which the journalists found, tells that Bykov was serving a term in the Kemerovo colony No. 29 and was recruited to the division of the Russian Ministry of Defense “Storm Z”. Bykov’s age from the “Storm Z” list coincides with the age of the detainee SK on suspicion of murder. The video also tells that Bykov was born in one of the villages of the Topkinsky municipal district.
