The main match of the day. Italy tied with Croatia, tearing a decisive point at the end of the added time. The Croats for a guaranteed exit to the playoffs had to win-and at the beginning of the second half, Luke Modric scored a minute after an unrealized penalty. A little statistics. Italy never beat Croatia in the last major tournaments: in eight games the Italians had five draws and three defeats. And 38-year-old Luke Modric, for whom this euro is already the fifth in his career (and most likely, the last one) became the most age author of the goal in the history of European championships.

The noise around. One of the most terrible injuries of the tournament was the collision of Hungarian Barnabash Varga with the goalkeeper of the Scots. Spectators booed the doctors, who, in their opinion, were in no hurry and walked along the field. On Monday, UEFA said that there was no “no delay” in the assistance of the striker. Varga received fractures of the facial bones, he was undergoing a successful operation, but he will no longer play in the euro.

What's next. On Tuesday, in a group with England, he will play with Slovenia, and Denmark with Serbia. The fate of the first place in the group has not yet been resolved: the British have four points, the Slovenes and Danes have two.
