Six negotiators who are leaders of the EU countries agreed on candidates for the highest posts of the European Union (EU), reports Politico with reference to their sources. The head of the European Commission will remain Ursula von der Layen. The post of the EU Supreme EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy will be occupied by the Prime Minister of Estonia Kai Kallas, who had previously got into the scandal due to her husband’s ties with Russian business after the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine despite the strict position of Estonia on sanctions against Russia.
The post of chairman of the European Council will be occupied by the former Prime Minister of Portugal Antoniu Kosta, who will replace Charles Michel in this post. Discussion in the approval of the candidate: the heads of Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, as well as the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany were accepted.

Citizens: Ki voted for national parties, most of which represent pan -European factions in the European Parliament.
189 seats received parties-member of the legalist European People’s Party-13 places more than in the previous convocation. This group includes the German Christian Democortic Union, “Forward, Italy”, the Polish “Civil Platform”, and the French “Republicans”.
136 seats received parties-member of the progressive alliance of socialistry: K and Democrato: K. This is 3 places less than in the previous convocation. It includes socialist and social democratic parties.
The liberal and pro -European faction “Refresh Europe” received 74 seats - 28 less than in the last convocation.
The coalition “European conservative: KI and reformist: ki” received 83 places - 14 more than in the last convocation. It unites Euro -captive ultra -right and right -hand parties, including the “brothers of Italy” (doubled the number of their places in the European Parliament), “True Finns”, Polish “Law and Justice”.
The ultra -right “identity and democracy” received 58 seats - 9 more than in the previous convocation. This group includes “alternative to Germany” and the French “national association” Le Pen. In France, the “National Association” received the most votes, and the macron party “Renaissance” received only 14.7% of the vote. In Germany, Adg took second place with 16.5% of the vote.
The green faction received 53 seats - 18 less than in the last convocation.
