Vera Shikhova, who was holding a solo picket "Protection of Social Guarantees", was detained near the Prosecutor General's Office building in Moscow. She told OVD-Info about this herself.
The picketer was taken to the Tverskoy police station.
Shikhova regularly holds solo pickets demanding that her son be provided with social protection and a rehabilitation program due to the accident that occurred in 2010 at the Ziminka mine in Prokopyevsk. As a result of the accident, Alexander Shikhov suffered spinal fractures, a traumatic brain injury, a torn knee ligament, and a herniated disc. In addition, he suffered a stroke and developed a traumatic brain disease. Despite this, he is not reimbursed for his treatment costs or provided with financial support due to his loss of ability to work. Shikhova has been detained at least three times in the past month: June 25 , June 19 , and June 10 .
A lawyer from OVD-Info went to see the detainee.
17:55 Vera Shikhova was released from the police station without a report, reports a lawyer from OVD-Info.
