Ukraine does not want to “delay the war”, and the plan for the peaceful settlement of the conflict, developed jointly with Ukrainian allies, should be prepared for several months, President Vladimir Zelensky said at a press conference in Brussels. “We do not have much time, because we have many wounded and killed on the battlefield, as well as among civilians. Therefore, we do not want this war to last years, ”Zelensky said.

The president added that Ukraine plans to prepare a peace plan for the second summit of the world. Where and when the second meeting takes place, Zelensky did not specify.

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Presidential office Igor Zhovkva told Interfax-Ukraine that the second summit was planned to be held before the end of 2024. The head of the office Andrei Ermak said that they could invite Russia to a meeting.

Before this, the possibility of participating in Russian representatives in the next summit, said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleb. “The idea is that the next summit is the end of the war. And, of course, we need the other side at the negotiating table. This is obvious, ”he said.

Kuleba later clarified that Russia's participation is possible in the format of the Black Sea Grain initiative - then negotiations were conducted through the mediation of Turkey and the UN.
