A rocket hit a nine-story building in Dnepr

Update. As of 19:45, one person was killed as a result of a missile strike on a residential building in Dnipro, Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko reported . Twelve people were injured, including a seven-month-old baby and a pregnant woman, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Head Serhiy Lysak said. According to authorities, people may be trapped in their apartments.

Russian troops launched a missile attack on the Dnieper, the head of the Dnepropetrovsk region, Sergei Lysak, reported on the evening of June 28.

"A nine-story building was damaged. Several floors were destroyed. Preliminary, there are wounded," Lysak wrote on the Telegram channel.

Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Nikolai Lukashuk published a video showing the aftermath of the strike on a multi-story building in Dnipro. According to him, four floors of the residential building were destroyed.

Shortly before the missile strike on the Dnieper, the Ukrainian Air Force announced that Russian tactical aviation was active in the southeastern direction of Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the missile strike, called on Western partners to provide Ukraine with air defense systems. "That is why we constantly remind all partners: only a sufficient number and quality of air defense systems, only sufficient determination of the world can stop Russian terror. We need these solutions - we need a reliable air shield for Ukraine," he said.
