In Petrozavodsk, the trial of the veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Tatyana Savinkina began. A 79-year-old woman is charged with two leaflets that were posted in July and September 2022 at the entrance to the entrance and in the freight elevator of the apartment building where she lives. In one of the leaflets, the veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs wrote with her hand what she felt like a native of Ukraine after the start of a special military operation, and the other turned out to be only a copy of the first.

Earlier, Tatyana Savinkin was repeatedly fined under an administrative article on “discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”, but after several police protocols drawn up according to the statements of the Chairman of the HOA, a criminal case was opened against the Veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under Article 230.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In the apartment of Savinkina, a search was arranged, and she was brought for interrogation in the squeal.

The investigation of the case of an elderly woman took about a year and a half law enforcement agencies. Tatyana Savinkina did not admit her guilt.

Famous social activists and oppositionists not only from the Karelian capital, but also from Moscow and St. Petersburg, came to support the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Petrozavodsk City Court. They met the defendant by bouquets of flowers with which Savinkina went to the meeting room. For the judge of Stepan Sergeyev, who considers the case, and the representative of the state prosecution, such a full house at the hearing turned out to be clearly unexpected.

“I am in great respect for Tatyana Ivanovna Savinkina - a person who is a child of a war from a family of rehabilitated victims of political repression, who devoted many years to the preparation of documents in order to restore the reputation of those people who were subjected to these repression. And now such a wonderful person has become a defendant in a criminal case, ”the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia from the Yabloko party Emilia Slabunova, who also came to the court, told Novaya Gazeta, on June 27. - All his life, a person served the state, is a veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I really want to hear those arguments that the prosecution side will bring to this respected person. ”

However, at the first court session, the case did not reach the arguments. The representative of the prosecutor's office only read out the indictment in which the text of the leaflet was quoted several times and it was stated that

Savinkina “acted intentionally”, foresaw “the inevitability of the onset of dangerous consequences in the form of undermining authority, discrediting state power and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.”

After that, the party to the state prosecution petitioned for the defense of the consideration of the case, referring to the need to participate in the debate in another process.

- How do you feel about the charges? - Judge Sergeyev asked Tatyana Savinkina.

“Negatively,” the defendant answered, explaining that she is not clear that she was charged with guilty.

- Do you dispute the commission of incriminated actions? Didn't you do this? Or did you do it, but not in that place and not at that time? Do you disagree with the qualifications? - the judge specified.

“I ask the prosecutor to explain to me where I put the leaflet,” said Savinkina.

According to the defendant, she hung a leaflet at the entrance to the entrance, but "in the prosecutor’s conclusion, not a word was said, what a stand it was." Lawyer Natalia Chernova, who defends Savinkina, supported her position and reminded the court that she had petitioned for a preliminary hearing, since the indictment in the case did not indicate exactly which stand is meant.

“My client reasonably asks the prosecutor to explain the accusation in this part, otherwise it is unclear what kind of place we are talking about. I can say the same thing by the method of making a copy of the leaflet. It is not clear how she could make it, ”said Chernova’s lawyer.

However, the representative of the prosecutor’s office did not explain anything to the defendant and immediately moved to the presentation of her vision of the order of the judicial investigation in the case.

-Do you have any explanations on the charges? - just in case, Judge Sergeyev asked.

But the state prosecutor hastened to petition for the postponement of the court hearing, and since this did not cause any objections to the parties, the court set the date of the new meeting on August 21.

Tatyana Savinkina served for 30 years in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In the late 90s, its main work was the preparation of documents for the rehabilitation of victims of political repression. Then she met the historian Yuri Dmitriev, and when they began to pursue and judge him, she more than once went out with pickets in his support.

After the beginning, it was fined repeatedly, but Savinkina refused the proposal to leave the country. After the initiation of a criminal case, a search was carried out at her house, and the neighbors of Tatyana Ivanovna, the concierge and law enforcement officers are witnesses in the case.
