American rapper Kanye West, who officially changed his name to Ye in 2021, has arrived in Moscow. This was reported on the Telegram channel by producer Yana Rudkovskaya.
"Kanye West is already in Moscow! This is super news! He stopped in the very heart of the capital! Fingers crossed for a show in Luzhniki in the future!" Rudkovskaya wrote.
The magazine Moskvichka published a video in which, allegedly, the rapper is walking along an underground passage near Okhotny Ryad. The publication says that the plane Kanye West flew in on landed on June 29 at the capital's Vnukovo-3 airport.
According to the magazine, the rapper flew to the Russian capital for the birthday of Gosha Rubchinskiy, the chief designer of the artist's Yeezy brand. The day before, as Moskvichka writes, Rubchinskiy celebrated his 40th birthday. "We celebrated at the Beluga restaurant, where the company enjoyed black caviar, vodka, and Russian cuisine. Kanye, as a great connoisseur of our culture, was delighted," the publication says.
On May 8, the Mash Telegram channel claimed that the rapper would give a concert in Moscow. It was claimed that he would perform in the Russian capital on June 8, but this information was not confirmed.
In connection with West's current visit to Moscow, there were also rumors that the rapper might give a concert. The Luzhniki information center stated that these reports were fake.
Meanwhile, messages about selling tickets for an alleged Kanye West concert began appearing on Avito. Thus, one of the sellers claimed in a conversation with RIA Novosti that the performance would be at the 1930 club on July 5. He indicated the price at 850 rubles. Later, the ad was removed, and the seller was blocked. RT writes that the scammers sold tickets for the alleged concert, indicating a price from 3.5 thousand to 12 thousand rubles. They were also subsequently removed.
