The teenager was accused of participating in a terrorist organization in Kuzbass

The investigating authorities of the IC of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo region charged a minor resident of Kemerov of participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to investigators, from May to June 2024, the teenager joined the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Legion Freedom of Russia" and took up the collection of information about strategically important industrial facilities located in the region.

"The criminal activity of the teenager was identified and suppressed by the UFSB of Russia in the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass and the Center for Combating Extremism of the Regional Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the materials were transferred to the investigating authorities of the IC of Russia, where they gave a proper legal assessment and a decision was made to initiate a criminal case," the regional investigative department said .

A teenager whose name is not called is detained. The court chose him a measure of restraint in the form of detention. Maximum punishment under Part 2 of Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is 20 years in prison.
