In Tuva, due to forest fires, an emergency mode was introduced

In Tuva, 1700 hectares of forests are burning, most of which are in an inaccessible mountainous area. The emergency mode was introduced in the republic, the head of the region Vladislav Khovlyg reports in his telegram channel.

In total, 23 forest fires are registered in Tuva. Khovlyg called their cause hot weather, strong winds and dry thunderstorms and called for sending firefighters from neighboring Siberian regions to Tuva.

“According to forecasts of weather forecasters, in the following days the heat will weaken somewhat, and rains are expected in places in the republic. But we cannot rely on the weather: July, as a whole, promises to be the most difficult month in terms of a fire hazardous situation. And we must fight for each hectare of forest,” Khovalyg wrote.

Also, the emergency mode was again introduced in Yakutia. There are 107 forest fires in the republic.

Forest fires have covered Russia since the beginning of May. Because of them, emergency modes were also introduced in the Khabarovsk Territory, Transbaikalia and Buryatia.
