Julia Navalny headed Human Rights Foundation

The widow of the opposition policy Alexei Navalny Julia Navalny headed the international human rights organization Human Rights Foundation (HRF). This was reported on the fund's website.

“For me, as a person who personally observes the threat that the dictatorship poses for our loved ones and the whole world as a whole, it is a great honor to take the post of chairman of the fund. The HRF mission is close to my heart, and I look forward to the opportunity to help in its implementation,” commented on a bulk appointment to the position.

On Twitter, she also wrote that she was going to share with HRF the experience of the Corruption Fund "from investigations to headquarters" and transferred the experience of the FBK in a new position.

At the post, Navalny was replaced by the policy and co -founder of the Free Russia forum Harry Kasparov, who headed the HRF since 2012.

“I believe in limiting the term of office. Unlike dictators with whom we are fighting,” Kasparov said, adding that he was looking forward to the opportunity to support Navalny in a new position.

Human Rights Foundation is a non-profit organization with headquarters in New York, founded in 2005 by Venezuelan human rights activist Thor Halvorsseen. The fund is engaged in the promotion and protection of human rights around the world. Since 2009, the organization has been conducting the annual "Freedom Oslo Forum".
