DPRK: One of the launched missiles may have fallen in the country

North Korea on Monday morning launched two ballistic missiles in the northeast. One of the launches may have been unsuccessful, and the rocket fell in the country. This was reported by the South Korean agency "Renhap" with reference to the United Committee of the Chiefs of Staff (OKNSh).

According to the military, one rocket launched at 5 o’clock in the morning flew about 600 kilometers, falling into the water near the city of Chondin in the north of the country. The second rocket launched after 10 minutes flew only 120 kilometers. The representative of the OCHs said that if she exploded in the air, then her fragments fell into the country.

"It is difficult to determine the exact point of the fall of the rocket, but it is likely that it headed towards Pyongyang," he said.

The eastern part of Pyongyang is located about 120 kilometers north-east of the Changen district, from where the launch was made.

• On the eve of Pyongyang accused the United States, Japan and South Korea of organizing the Asian version of NATO and announced his readiness to accept "offensive and overwhelming countermeasures." The DPRK Foreign Ministry said that the countries have signed a cooperation document repeating the principle of collective defense of NATO. At the same time, earlier the DPRK leader Kim Jong -un signed an agreement on cooperation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who unleashed the war against Ukraine.
