Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak commented on the proposal of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the ceasefire on the current front line.
“Extremely interesting suggestions: Ukraine should immediately and unilaterally end fire (sarcasm). Especially, of course, to stop attacks by long -range means of defeat and especially the territory and border of the Russian Federation on the occupied Russian Federation. Russia can continue to strike (which the same Lavrov [Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov] repeatedly stated , that even in case of the start of the negotiation process, no one would stop the shots territories of Ukraine), ” wrote Podolyak in his telegram channel.
He explained what this could mean.
"Russia literally begs through strange intermediaries the return of an informal decision on the ban ... for Ukraine to defensive blows. In order to continue to tighten the resources in the border, prepare new large -scale attacks, not lose air defense systems and equipment ... simply and primitively. Even easier and more primitive," Podolyak emphasized.
In this situation, according to him, additional questions arise.
“The question is rhetorical: how to understand people who participate in the campaign to force the country to be attacked, to one -sided end of fire ... And most importantly: are these proposals are taken seriously and will they really lead to the end of the war?” Sudolyak said.
During a visit to Kiev on July 2, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban suggested that the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky consider the possibility of a ceasefire in order to speed up peace negotiations with Russia.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva, commenting on this proposal of Orban, said that Ukraine has its own plan how to achieve peace. In particular, the first summit of the world in Switzerland was held and preparations for the second were underway.
