Russia is waging a "hybrid war" against Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok following a joint press conference with his Latvian colleague Baiba Brazh, the Turkish agency Anadolu reports .
"Now we are witnessing the fact that the Baltic countries and the Baltic states have become the center of the" hybrid "Russian war. We do not have a week to not hear about the new GPS interference in the air traffic, the disclosure of the new disinformation network or the sudden disappearance of border storms," Berbock said.
She added that Germany and other Western allies will strengthen their presence in the region and take all the necessary measures to strengthen the defense and restrain Russia in the Baltic.
“The security of the Baltic countries and, ultimately, Latvia’s safety is also our own security. The border with Russia is not just the border of the Baltic or Finland, it is a common border for NATO and the EU countries. We will protect every square centimeter of the territory of our alliance,” the Minister emphasized.
