NATO countries agreed to allocate 40 billion euros to Ukraine

NATO countries agreed to allocate military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 40 billion euros in 2025. This was reported by Reuters with reference to two diplomats.

It is expected that NATO countries will approve this obligation at the Summit in Washington, which will take place next week.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asked the Allies to take on perennial obligations to maintain military assistance to Kyiv at the same level as after the outbreak of war, which is about 40 billion euros per year.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, NATO countries did not support this proposal, but agreed to revise the allies’s contributions on future summits.

They also decided to prepare two reports over the next year to determine which country and what supplies to Ukraine.

Thus, the Allies want to increase transparency in the distribution of Kyiv expenses between NATO countries.
