His message about the attack appeared at 3:03 local time. After this, local telegram channels published videos in which shots and explosions were heard.
Already in the morning, the Ministry of Defense reported that at night two unmanned boats “following in the direction of Novorossiysk” were destroyed in the Black Sea, and also published a video of the attack being repelled.
After the destruction of the drones, the mayor of Novorossiysk Andrei Kravchenko said that the city’s beaches are closed to the public because the water area needs to be checked for safety.
By 9:35 the inspection was completed. According to Kravchenko, city services identified minor damage to one apartment and two commercial premises. No one was injured during the attack; the port of Novorossiysk is operating normally.
Last fall, the Russian army transferred a significant part of the Black Sea Fleet ships from annexed Sevastopol to Novorossiysk. This happened due to regular Ukrainian attacks on targets in Crimea.
Thus, on September 13, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on a ship repair plant in Sevastopol, causing damage to the Rostov-on-Don submarine and the large landing ship Minsk. And on September 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired missiles at the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol . As a result, according to the Ukrainian side, 34 officers were killed and 105 people were injured. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not disclose data on losses.

The information that part of the Black Sea Fleet was transferred to Novorossiysk was confirmed by OSINT analysts. For example, in early October, satellite images indicated the transfer to port of two Project 11356 frigates Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov, three diesel submarines, five large landing ships and several small missile ships.
Let us remind you that earlier “Verstka” calculated that as of April 2024, the area of Russia potentially vulnerable to Ukrainian attacks was about 1.4 million square meters. km. For example, in June, Ukrainian UAVs successfully attacked oil depots in Adygea and the Tambov region. As a result of the attack, oil tanks were damaged and caught fire.
