"The grandfathers were silent - and you should be silent too"

The group "Rabfak" brought together pop and film stars Ilya Yashin, Vladimir Kara-Murza, Zhenya Berkovich, Svetlana Petriychuk and Alexei Navalny in one video

The Rabfak group of Alexander Elin released a video for "And You Be Silent". The song, as usual for Rabfak, is satirical (we all remember their "Our Madhouse Votes for Putin"). The video for the song is a montage of footage of music, film and theater stars who continued to work in Russia after the invasion of Ukraine. "Nobody is in prison for poetry, nobody is poisoned," the song goes.

The only person who disagrees with this, the Rabfak says ironically, is a "State Department agent" who will be dealt with by "Comrade Major". Everyone else should remember that "the grandfathers didn't grumble, the grandfathers were silent - and you should be silent too".

At the end of the video, footage of the stars' performances and the award ceremony of some of them in the Kremlin is replaced by court footage - from the trials of politicians Ilya Yashin and Vladimir Kara-Murza, director Zhenya Berkovich and playwright Svetlana Petriychuk, as well as Alexei Navalny, who, as his associates are sure, was killed in prison.
