Scientists from the Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (Sibguti) have developed software that can detect a person in a room with an accuracy of 5-7 meters. You can find any device that can connect to Wi-Fi-a tablet, smart clock, smartphone or laptop. At the moment, using mobile networks, you can track the location of a person with an accuracy of 300-500 meters.

The system collects information, sends it to the server, where the distance is calculated to each point and, using the trilatorization method, determines the coordinates of the object. The larger the Wi-Fi-currents around, the more precisely the result. At the same time, it is not necessary that the device of the person was registered on the network.

“ Now the tracking algorithm is being practiced - tracking the movement, in order not only to determine where the observation object is, but where the application is moving, as on the navigators ,” said Anatoly Kostyukovich, assistant professor of the university.

One of the applications of the system can be parental control of children. The system itself was also tested on children. At the same time, the university reports that the program can also be used to search for people inside mines, industrial zones and other inaccessible rooms.
