In his new column, the writer, producer and researcher of the Z-community Ivan Filippov talks about two worlds. In one-on the Planet of Pink Pony-the inhabitants see nothing but success, crowds at the military enlistment offices and are still thinking of starting a war with NATO. In another, Russian soldiers die from typhoid and cholera, and friends of Red Red Riding Hood solve the problem of drinking water in the Moscow hospital.

On June 28, in the influential American publication Foreign Affairs, a large article by Mikhail Zygar was published about how the Russian elites reconciled with the war. Zygar talked with several oligarchs and wrote about how exactly the rich and possessing the Russians imagine the war and what the victory is seen. The text has plans to capture the Russian army of Kharkov and Kyiv and even attacks on the Baltic countries, including a plan of possible seizure, for example, the Estonian city of Narva.
This text seems to me a very interesting document of the era. Yes, it is quite possible that the interlocutors of the scourge themselves do not really believe in what they say. Perhaps, out of habit, they play the roles of loyalists even in anonymous interviews, where, it would seem, we can speak openly. What they have in their souls is difficult to say, but we can say something else.
None of the heroes of the text supports the war in, if you allow, ideological meaning, that is, "I approve its beginning and purpose." Their logic in another - since they started, then you can not lose. And all the more interesting it is to compare their vision of the war with how people who sincerely support it, on it, who are fighting or at least regularly visiting front -line areas and even a combat contact line, write about the war.
Once (before his arrest), Igor Strelkov was very fond of writing about the discrepancy between the views on the war of these two groups. He owns a very accurate definition that he gave to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and, in principle, representatives of the authorities - up to Vladimir Putin himself: "Inhabitants of the planet of pink ponies." Reading last week the texts about the most acute problems of the Russian army - against the backdrop of the prophecies of the oligarchs - it was simply impossible not to recall the words of Igor Ivanovich.
The two major channel publishes a letter from a Russian soldier from the Kherson direction, in which he complains: the military has no water and they die from the typhoid and cholera abdominal. This problem is not new, about which the author of the letter himself says: “No one wants to learn from their mistakes and solve the problem, and ask the volunteers to bring a million bottles of water in the third year even funny.”
The theme of water is supplemented by another Z-Alet-Plato Mamatov, who also quotes the military message in which he tells how his unit for a month lived without water supply, because the drones destroyed all the transport. As a result, the military were forced, as the author writes , to drink rain water from the pit in which the bodies of the dead lay: “The pit, from a large caliber, large, water accumulated in it. And at the bottom the remains were lying, a couple of corpses disassembled. Well, we filmed it, threw it with special disinfectants, and drank. Salt as a scum, but nothing, you can live. ”
The problem with water at the front, indeed, is already familiar-the Z-channels have been writing about this for the third summer. It was much more interesting to read about the last week about a fundamentally new complexity - the command sends back to the front of the unfinished wounded, sometimes in the literal sense of the word on crutches.
The first to write about this was Anastasia Kashevarova. We save the spelling: “About 50 fighters of the military unit 52562, 47 tank division, the 26th regiment, awaiting operations, the VVK [military medical examination] with the category of suitability of G [temporarily not suitable for military service] and the order at 45-day vacation, in violation of the instructions of the doctors are aimed at the front line,” Kashevarova wrote and emphasized that Cases are such "not single."
Other Z-channels, who seemed to be waiting for someone to voiced the problem, immediately picked up the topic, and they began to write not only about cripples at the front, but also about the reason for their appearance there: there are no people. And there are no people because of another eternal and unsolvable problem of the Russian army-everyone lies to everyone.
The “Philologist in ambush” channel said that because of the ban on dismissal in the army, people “in semi-motley conditions” serve, and explained, unlike Kashevarova, the reason why the Russian army at the front needs cripples-“excess losses” in the units leading “active military operations”:
“From here the practice of early return of people to the front line is growing on the principle of everyone who can at least somehow hold weapons. It is quite natural that this practice does not help increase the effectiveness of combat work and motivation of personnel, ”wrote a“ philologist in an ambush ”.
The channel “Near the War” went even deeper into the details: “A particularly difficult situation with neurological problems, when, for example, formally, a person has hands-legs in place, but do not properly act.” Two Majors published the next letter of a soldier, which spoke about the problem of “warring disabled people”: “Now the command of the brigade are sent to the wounded in their zone, despite the documents provided by the honey. There is a fixed answer: "This is not a reason not to go." Even if the fighter moves with crutches, and those who refuse, in their direction begins to roll/threats with a criminal and a zone. ”
I must say that the reception with the "letters of the soldiers" in the Z-space is distributed for a reason. He softens the responsibility of the owners of the channels - they do not discredit the army (and again recall Strelkov), they only publish "appeals".
The actress Yana Poplavskaya joined the discussion. In former times, she was known primarily as a performer of the role of a red cap, today Poplavskaya is one of the most aggressive supporters of the war and author of a full-fledged Z-channel. Here is what she wrote : “They return to the front with fragments in the lungs, with injured limbs. And what about hospitals? We constantly purchase medical products, my friends buy drinking bottled water and bandages in packs. These are not front -line hospitals, this is Moscow! "
Here I want to pause and, firstly, to fix that the wounded lack water even in the Moscow hospital, and secondly-let's return to those with whom I started-to the inhabitants of the planet of pink ponies. One of them, the deputy chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, recently said that "since the beginning of 2024, contracts from the Russian Ministry of Defense have been awarded about 190 thousand citizens" and "On average every day, the number of united groups of troops increases by 1 thousand people."
Did any of the Zubtors argued with such an optimistic assessment of the deputy chairman of the Security Council? Directly - only Anastasia Kashevarova. The last few weeks this author generally writes the most frank texts. The rest of the driving authors with a small, but evil Medvedev still try not to contact. Without naming the names, they wrote a lot last week about the numbers and about where they are - that is, the number of military personnel “in the zone of their” - are being taken. And where are the numbers, there, of course, are cripples.
The same Anastasia Kashevarova volunteered to clarify: “Why do unfinished fighters get to the front line? All because of the same-because of the leftist reports that hide the real alignment of forces and the number of personnel. <...> We may have a platoon of three people, and a hundred - a regiment, and the division is less than a thousand. But real numbers do not write in the reports, battalions/brigades/divisions write, and the fact that the name does not reflect numbers is no longer deepened into this. ”
Another Z-author, one of the volunteers, sending humanitarian aid to the front, Roman Alekhin said : “Immediately how: if the commander is a battalion, then the task is set for the battalion. And the fact that the battalion may be less than a company in number - the commander is afraid to report, because the lie has already been announced earlier. And then a lie is covered with a lie, and then they lie further further. And in the end, the General Staff ( General Staff. - approx. “Cold” ) sets tasks that simply cannot be fulfilled by fighters. ”
Together, these - and many others - the texts give a very intelligible answer to the question that the heroes of the articles of Mikhail Zygar do not raise, but the retired colonel Viktor Alksnis is voiced in their channel: “What successful attack of our group can we talk about when there is a positional dead end of the 1916 sample near Verden?” He clarifies that from May 16, 2024 (that is, in almost two months), "the general advancement of the Russian troops in the Volchan direction is up to 200 meters."
It seems important to me to write about this - about 200 meters in two months, because the texts similar to the text of Mikhail Zygary can cause an alarm. When those close to the Kremlin or simply very wealthy Russians are seriously discussing plans to equal Kharkov or capture Kyiv and Narva, this cannot cause anything but anxiety. Even if the reader understands that we are talking exclusively about the wishes of anonymous speakers.
Understanding all the difficulties of the war, this anxiety is still worth it-to see how supporters of the war are evaluated by the state of affairs at the front and the state of the army. And, reading about the plans of the Russian military or oligarchs to invade Estonia, mentally adding to the “Russian Army plans to capture Narva”, for example, “ not capable of taking Volchansk for the third month”. So it will be much more accurate. "The Russian army, not capable of taking Volchansk for the third month, plans to capture Narva."
