On the night of July 6, three men raped a Match TV employee in Moscow as she was returning home from work. The Baza Telegram channel was the first to report this, and then Tina Kandelaki, Deputy General Director of Gazprom-Media Holding, confirmed it . Three suspects have been detained.
According to Baza, the attack occurred at about half past two in the morning, when the woman was returning from work at the Ostankino television center and was passing by Ostankino Pond.
"We are in touch with the victim and are supporting our colleague who suffered a terrible incident in every possible way. All our thoughts are with her," Kandelaki wrote on her Telegram channel, promising to make every effort to punish "the rapists to the fullest extent of the law."
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against three suspects, citizens of Uzbekistan. The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, took it under his personal control.
“The suspects have been detained, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure for them will be decided in the near future,” the department said in a statement on Telegram.
The first suspect, as Baza writes, was detained by security forces 40 minutes after the rape. According to the channel, he was a 24-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan. After that, the police detained two more suspects, aged 22 and 25.
