Open data, visual storytellers, economic sociology and neuroeconomics are courses from the advanced edge of modern journalism. They are taught at one of the programs of the faculty of media communications and multimedia technologies of the Don State Technical University (DSTU). The program is called Neurocedia, and the university in Rostov has been implementing it in cooperation with the highest school of the economy since 2020. Graduates: TSE receive a diploma of the DSTU media faculty and the faculty of creative industries of the HSE.
The faculty of creative industries in the Higher School of Economics is located in the top of Russian journalism. From 2014 to 2022 it was called the Faculty of Communications, Media and Design. One of the programs of the faculty is Modern Journalism . Classical journalistic disciplines and Data Science are being studied there: among the courses - steritelling, statistics, programming.
In May 2022, the Institute of Media at the faculty was headed by Ernest Matskyavicius, who worked on the Russia-1 television channel for many years. Now the Institute of Media regularly conducts wire events and publishes propaganda research, for example, the books “War, Peace and Populric Discourse in Ukraine” and “Discursive breakdown of the social field: Euromaidan lessons”.
Do you know what the neuromedia means? “The totality of cognitive technologies that can be used in marketing, in politics, and in advertising, and in education,” says Denis Dubovan, dean of the DSTU media faculty. He took this position in 2019, and in early June last year, a student: Ki took an interview from him about Fakes:
“They [Ukrainian: OK] has a serious media weapon - ownership of the Russian language, and at the level of a native speaker. They do not need to hire translators to communicate with the audience of Russia. Accordingly, the use of the Russian language using media technologies turns into a powerful weapon of propaganda. ”
The Magika-“Modern Plane for the Development of Startups” in the field of animation, 2D and 3D visualization, game design, development of mobile applications, sound design and VR/AR operates in the DSTTU.
The technopark George Kudinov, the 2006 TEFI-Region Prize Laureate “For Personal Contribution to the Development of Regional Television”, as well as one of the people at the origins of the DSTU media faculty. In 2023, Kudinova won purchases from DSTU for more than 15 million rubles, including "professional development of university workers occupied by the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions." In the very progress, we found signs of a conflict of interest.
By the birthday of the rector of the DSTU Besarion Meskhi in the public VK “Media - Youth Media DSTU”, a post was published about his ties.
“You never thought why we have such a trend university? - The answer is simple, look at our rector.
In honor of the birthday of Besarion Chokhoevich, we looked at a lot of his photos. We realized that he has a large selection of ties, ” the post says. Author: Ki post studied the telegram channel of the rector and "systematized the data obtained to the cards." Student: Ki found in the Meskhi channel photographs of 24 ties, and also analyzed their color spectrum.

In March 2022, the rector of DSTU Besarion Meskhi signed a letter from Russian rectoro: to support the invasion of Ukraine.
In May 2022, Voronezh State University (VSU) spent the fourth season "Batts of the journalism" - competitions of the faculties of journalism from all over the country. The jury of the competition included the chief editor of Novaya Gazeta in St. Petersburg Seraphim Romanov, as well as Oksana Silantieva, the head of the SilaMedia educational project, who, for example, in 2017 discovered plagiarism in the Forbes column Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of Putin. In last year’s “battle” the team of Tomsk State University won with the project “To become a Siberian” - about a foreign: kach who come to Tomsk to study, live or just like tourists.
Another project of the ZhUBU journal is a student portal: to Voronezh “PS Five Owls”. On the portal, for example, you can find a film about Beslan, released in 2023 and shot third -year -old: Tsami Zhurfaka VSU. “We did not want to talk about this tragedy in terms of politics and the military. This is already too much removed and written. We wanted to talk about the event as a human pain on the example of a specific family, which lost the most expensive in this tragedy - its children, ”one of the author emphasized: Maxim Maximov for the film.

“Study in a new appearance: University students have turned into cats!”
The material says that a student: Ki and a teacher: the nits of the faculty turned into cats, after which a “fever” began at the faculty. “This, of course, the transformation brought some difficulties to students. However, it is surprising that in this guise, students continued to actively study and take part in university life, preserving their student duties, only now in a new, fluffy guise, ”writes the author of the text.

The Battle of Zhurbakov is headed by the deputy dealer of the faculty Andrei Zolotukhin. The PS Five Owls portal is also connected with Zolotukhin: he appeared in a criminal case against the deputy dealership. Zolotukhin in 2015 received a grant to organize a competition of young leaders of the Voronezh region DUX-2016. However, according to investigators, he made a fake agreement for souvenirs and stationery and stole about 40 thousand rubles. A year later, Zolotukhin received two more grants - for the PS 5 Owl portal. Projects duplicated the goals and objectives of the DUX-2016-so Zolotukhin appropriated another 500 thousand rubles. In cases of fraud, Zolotukhin threatened up to six years in prison, but Voronezh’s railway court appointed him only a fine of 250 thousand rubles.

At the Mini-football tournament in mid-November, the participation of the military training center went out in T-shirts in support of the war participants.

“Unrecognized hero: the story of the deceased defender Valentina Galatova”, “” “They don’t cry alive, they are proud of alive”: the stories of love and separation of the wives of his fighters ” - the names of the materials of the Voronech State University, who won the All -Russian competition of journalist: to“ Challenge - XXI Century ”. At the university, there is even a military training center for future "military journalist: K". The dean of the journalism department Vladimir Tulupov went to the occupied territories a month and a half after the start of a full -scale war. He performed at the Donetsk State University at the conference "Culture in the focus of scientific paradigms." And the “Battle of the journalism” in 2023 did not take place, at least not a single mention on the Internet is not about it.
In 2016, a student: Ki Zhurfaka Belgorod State University (BelSU) launched the Lotman online magazine. Each issue included lifstail materials about the city and complex texts about social problems. “ I didn’t tell my parents, I thought that they would scold me for it ” - about girls who survived sexual violence in childhood. “ Only courts and funerals will be without drugs ”-about Belgorod with spinal-muscular atrophy.

“Not published since September 1, 2022,” is now indicated on the magazine website without explanation. The closure of Lotmann in social networks was rejoicing in Vladimir Babin - the chief editor of the wire newspaper Voice of the Belogorye.
“[More] indecent obscene is not published. The right decision! The university’s leadership in this matter is completely and fully supported, ”he wrote about the closure of the student magazine. In mid -August 2022, Babin published a post in which he argued that the Faculty was fully responsible for the magazine and accused the author: to immorality. Whether the closure of the magazine with the posts of Babin is connected is unclear.
In mid -November, BelSU held a media forum for the student: K and school: c. The program included a lecture by Ekaterina Kryuchkova, the head of the patriotic projects of the Minobra “Scientific Regiment” and “In the Heart”. The contest “In the very heart”, according to press releases , is aimed at “Formation [...] of the feelings of patriotism” by the student: K. To participate in the competition, you need to publish “Competition Work” - photos, videos or text post - in social networks with a hashtag #Vsamoeservers. Materials should be told "On the contribution of representatives of different nationalities to the development of higher education in the country."
A little earlier, in March, an event dedicated to the "work of a social journalist in his zone" was held at the BelSU journalism department. “As soon as I crossed the border of the zone of action of my, they immediately told me that the main principle of journalism here is not a harm. Therefore, you have to write carefully, clarify what can be published and what is not, ” - The speaker was advised by Julia Osipova, the observer of state news agency RIA Novosti.
A year ago, the former vice -rector of BelSU Igor Konstantinov became a defendant in a criminal case of corruption. According to investigators, he appropriated the money that the Ministry of Education and Science allocated to the university for "conducting research and developing a new photo-video equipment." This is more than 200 million rubles. The investigation suspects that the former vice -rector for scientific and innovative activities abducted them all.
We talk about Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, protests and repression. We believe that now, when dozens of media have closed or ceased to cover the war, access to independent information is more important than ever.
On December 20, 2023, we made two changes to the text: 1) the name of the Deputy Delack Faculty of the VSU - Andrei Zolotukhin, and not Valery, as indicated earlier; 2) The name of the dean of the Zhuriang Tragski - Vladimir Tulupov, not Tupolev.
