Roskomnadzor, the courts and an "unspecified government agency" (most likely the Prosecutor General's Office) continue to restrict access to various Internet resources, Roskomsvoboda reports .
Thus, the Meshchansky District Court, following a lawsuit filed by the interdistrict prosecutor's office, ruled to block the website of the German medical company EMEX Medical GmbH. The reason was information about a clinic that practices gender-affirmative medicine. The prosecutor's office saw this as "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations, the dissemination of which is prohibited in the Russian Federation."
Roskomnadzor has blocked a link to the Russian group EBAN'KO's Soundcloud page: such "propaganda" was also found in the lyrics of the songs "Gay Parade", "Sobbit Lover" and "Such a Man".
In addition, at the request of an "unspecified government agency," the website of the social and journalistic project "Glasnaya" about gender equality was blocked in Russia. "Roskomsvoboda" assumes that this may be connected with the texts published on the website about the wives of "SVO participants," but the exact reason for the blocking is unknown.
- For reasons of military censorship, Roskomnadzor blocked more than 200 thousand resources, as reported by the deputy head of the agency Vadim Subbotin on June 9, 2023. According to him, this number also included "materials with calls for mass unauthorized actions and riots."
- From January to June 2023, Yandex removed 190,525 links from search at the request of Roskomnadzor. This is 41,161 links more than in the second half of 2022. In addition, at the request of the supervisory authority, Yandex removes prohibited content from its servers, for example, from Yandex Q or Yandex Music, as well as images, turbo pages, saved copies of pages, etc.
