The Vyborg District Court of St. Petersburg fined two activists of the "Society. Future" movement and a candidate for municipal deputy on charges of petty hooliganism (Part 1 of Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by the press service of the St. Petersburg courts.
Activists Ivan Pantileev and Andrey Popov, as well as candidate for municipal deputy from the New People party Roman Penkov, were brought to administrative responsibility. Two were fined 500 rubles, the third - 600.
The court reported that on the evening of July 10, all three, together with nationalist and leader of the "Society. Future" cell Savva Fedoseyev, attempted to break into the premises of the territorial election commission, despite the guards' refusal to let them in. Fedoseyev, Panteleev, Popov and Penkov knocked over two pedestals, broke off the door frame and damaged part of the turnstile.
Fedoseyev did not show up for the hearing, the court added. The nationalist himself reported that the consideration of his protocol was postponed.
Fedoseyev, Pantileyev, and Popov came to TEC No. 34 together with Penkov to "support" him: the candidate was worried that he would not have time to submit documents to participate in the September elections due to long lines. Activists from "Society. Future" claimed that an artificial line of people who "have nothing to do with the election campaign" was created at the TEC.
According to Zaks.ru, at the entrance to the territorial election commission, Fedoseyev argued with the security guards, they used physical force against him, and later wrote a statement to the police about the nationalist.
Fedoseyev himself is running in three districts of St. Petersburg - Liteiny, Dachny and Knyazhevo. In 2021, he already ran for deputy of the city's Legislative Assembly. The nationalist actively comments on the course of the war in Ukraine from a loyalist position. In particular, he demanded to refuse the exchange of captured fighters of the Azov Regiment. In 2022, Latvia banned Fedoseyev from entering the country for life after a prank on Twitter about his performance in Riga.
