On one list, it is clear that the issues of the entire spectrum of world politics were discussed here. In addition to formal results and documents, the central of which was the summit declaration, agreements were concluded that would be formalized in the future.
75 years ago an agreement on the creation of NATO was signed in Washington. Behind the facade of the demonstration of the solidarity of the "most long and most powerful in history" the Military-Political Union was the main unresolved question: who would become the "leader of the free world" after the November elections in the United States. And although all the events and documents of the anniversary summit were passed and were accepted in the “atmosphere of unity and cohesion”, the inevitable question sounded in the sidelines: what will happen to NATO?
Donald Trump has its own rather radical ideas about how America should support NATO - financially and most importantly politically. What are his words at the pre -election rally in February that, when he was president, he told one of the leaders of NATO countries that he would not defend his country from the Russian attack if it does not fulfill financial obligations to the Alliance to spend at least 2% of GDP for its defense needs? Trump said that he would not only not protect, but also allow Russia to "do whatever she wants."
Another question, in the past, the words and actions of Trump - candidate and president - often did not match. Then the White House called Trump's statement “shocking”. It undermines the main principle of NATO-“collective security”, recorded in the 5th article of the alliance charter. If someone attacks the NATO state, everyone else comes to the rescue. According to President Harry Truman a year after the signing of the Washington Treaty in the Inaugural Speech: “The main goal of the North Atlantic Treaty is to erase any possible doubts and uncertainty that may lurk in the minds of potential aggressors.”

For the oldest in the history of the American president (which will be 82 in November), the NATO summit became the opportunity to demonstrate its political, physical and mental competence against the backdrop of failure television battles two weeks ago. In the days of the Washington summit with calls to Biden, the one -party members from Congress came out of the distance - today 14 members of the House of Representatives and one senator (but the number is growing every day). The former speaker of the Congress Nancy Pelosi called on Biden to announce his final decision (“Time plays against the Democrats”), and the head of the Senate majority of Chuck Schumer allowed the appearance of another candidate. Actor George Clooney, a longtime sponsor of the Democratic Party, said that Biden was his friend and personal hero, who won a lot of victories in the past, but “it is impossible to defeat the time,” and called for a distance to prevent Trump to return to the White House. For the refusal of the president, the leaders of the trade unions were expressed to re -elect.
In conditions of unprecedented political and public pressure, Bidden externally coped with the role of the owner of the political forum. On the opening day of the forum, he made a decisive speech that corresponded to the status of the organization’s leader. The President spoke on Teleessufler a strong and confident voice, almost escaped verbal impurities, signs of confusion and a stupor, who destroyed his performance on the debate. Biden performed at Mellon Auditorium - a hall with gilded walls, where a NATO agreement was signed 75 years ago, and his speech was framed by the musical performances of the US Marine Corps orchestra.
Biden planned two bilateral meetings - with the new British Prime Minister Keir Staler (as evidence of traditional special union relations with London) and the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky (Ukraine was at the center of the summit of the summit). On Wednesday evening, lunch took place in the White House. On Thursday, he held special meetings with the heads of the EU and the countries of the Pacific region and the second meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council with the participation of two dozen countries that signed bilateral security agreements. This is a large load for the young leader, but in the evening on Thursday, Biden also gave the first press conference from the time of unsuccessful television tutes-as announced, without the prepared scenario and the coordination of issues.
At a press conference in the White House on Monday, the presidential pool was not so much interested in the issues of the NATO summit as the topic of health of the head of state, when Biden was examined by doctors for the last time. According to the press secretary of Karin Jean-Pierre, for three years there were three comprehensive examinations, according to the results of the latter, February, the reports of neurologists did not find “any results that would correspond to any cerebellar or other central neurological disorders, for example, stroke, multiplicated sclerosis, Parkinson's disease or the rising side sclerosis.”
The press conference was for Bayden for a lunch challenge than his participation in the Washington summit. It was expected by political allies and opponents, the press - American and world - only fueled the excitement among voters. The sensation did not occur and the whole content can be expressed in two words. Biden said about himself: "I am the most prepared person to be the president."
The final document of the Washington summit was published before the end of the event. According to the Biden administration, decisions made became the development of last year’s summit in Vilnius. A document agreed by all 32 members of the alliance, in addition to 38 main points, contains a separate, additional part of the assistance of Ukraine in the field of security.
The document refers to the “irreversible path” of Ukraine to membership in NATO. According to the American media, the Baltic countries especially insisted on the formulation of "irreversibility." However, the date of accession to NATO is not indicated.
Ukraine needs to fulfill well -known conditions: reforms in the field of security and economics, democratization, etc. In addition, all NATO allies should agree with her membership in the alliance.
The alliance countries also announced their intention to provide at least 40 billion euros for the defense needs of Ukraine in 2025. The costs will be distributed between NATO countries in proportion. The current relationship between Kyiv and Brussels was called "a bridge to NATO." According to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, in Washington they hope that this bridge "will be strong and well -lit."

The resignation of NATO Secretary General, who received the presidential medal of freedom from Biden, Jens Stoltenberg said:
“To accept the country in NATO, you need a consensus. NATO countries have so far reached a consensus about the fact that Ukraine will become a member of the alliance, but so far it is too early to speak when. I can say that now we are approaching Ukraine to membership. ”
The lack of a specific date caused appropriate comments in Moscow, gave reason to argue that the entire Washington summit was for Ukraine and Zelensky “another failure”.
Let's see the documents. The allies took new measures to strengthen the air defense of Ukraine. The mood of the forum participants was influenced by recent events. From Denmark and the Netherlands, F-16 aircraft are transferred, they will fight in the sky of Ukraine this summer, said E. Blinken. Bayden and leaders of Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Romania published a joint statement with the President of Ukraine Zelensky, which announced the supply of five additional Patriot systems and other strategic air defense systems.
The declaration indicates the creation of new structures of interaction with Ukraine - unprecedented for a country that is not part of the alliance structure. NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) will coordinate the provision of military equipment and the training of the Ukrainian military. The new unit based in Germany will be headed by a “three-star general,” the US State Department said in a press release. Separately, it is noted that the creation of NSATU “does not make NATO a conflict”, but will support the transformation of the defense forces of Ukraine for “further integration with NATO”.
The Secretary General decided to appoint a special representative in Kyiv, who will perform the functions of the coordinator of the interaction of NATO.

A joint analytical center of Ukraine-NATO (JATEC) is created, which should become the basis for "practical cooperation, determination and application of the lessons of the current military conflict and increase the operational compatibility of Ukraine with NATO."
The alliance countries “never recognize” those geographical maps that they draw today in Russia. “We also urge Russia to withdraw all its forces from the Republic of Moldova and Georgia,” the summit says in the final document.
NATO condemns military cooperation with Russia by Iran, North Korea and, above all, China. As Anthony Blinken noted, China does not provide Russia's weapons, but makes the main contribution to the Russian defense-industrial base. Seventy percent of the machines that Russia imports are supplied from China; 90 percent of the microelectronics that Russia imports is also from China.
“Over the past year and a half, we have witnessed a large -scale building of weapons - tanks, missiles, ammunition,” the head of American diplomacy said. In the NATO declaration calls the PRC authorities "to stop any material and political support for the military efforts of Russia." This includes the transmission of double -purpose materials, such as weapons components, equipment and raw materials that serve as resources for the defense sector of the Russian Federation, remind in NATO.
Separately, it is said about the “aggressive hybrid actions of Russia against the allies” in NATO. These actions include “provocations on the borders of the Alliance on the Alliance, the operation of unregulated migration, malicious cyberism, electronic interference, misinformation campaigns, malignant political influence, as well as economic pressure,” the summit says. It is also said about the response steps, but at all without details, which suggests that the topic is really seriously worried about the alliance, but the program of effective counteraction has not yet been created.
At a meeting with Zelensky, Baiden announced the new American military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $ 225 million, which includes the Patriot missile battery, ammunition for anti-aircraft missile systems, Stinger missiles, ammunition for high-mobile artillery systems, artillery shells of 155 and 105 mm caliber, tube equipment, optically. Tracking and wired guidance, anti-tank complexes "Javelin" and AT-4, ammunition and other auxiliary equipment.
In addition, the White House announced that the United States and Germany had agreed for the first time since the beginning of the 1990s to place Tomahawk and SM-6 high-range missiles in Germany. The placement will begin in 2026. In addition to traditional missiles, Washington also plans to place experimental hypersonic weapons in Germany.

Not without the next Baydenovskoy reservation. According to the results of the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, the US President made a small speech in which, presenting new military assistance to Kyiv, called Zelensky Putin and immediately recovered: “Putin? I am so focused on victory over Putin. The word to the President Zelensky. " Needless to say that each reservation of the oldest president of America was widely covered by the Russian media: when he called Ukraine uranium, but recovered, as in the case of Zelensky, when he unsuccessfully explained that he wanted to enlist the support of the wife of NATO Stoltenberg, so that he would not resign. This is the case when the important details of the NATO summit are deliberately obscured by tinsel.
It should be noted that in the final declaration of NATO it is noted that the Alliance is ready to “maintain communication with Moscow” in order to “reduce risks and prevent escalation”, that NATO “does not strive for confrontation and does not pose a threat to Russia”.
But this is unlikely to believe Russian spectators who daily hear from the TV that in Ukraine "NATO is waging a war against Russia, and we reflect the aggression of the West."
After the Washington summit, the leaders of NATO countries went home. The plans of Bayden, stubborn in the decision to stay in the election race, travel to election rallies to different ends of the country-Michigan, Nevada, Texc ... But the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, at the invitation of Donald Trump, went to Mar-a-hala, the Florida residence of the former (future?) President. He will do this after his recent visits to Kyiv, Moscow and Beijing, and part of the American press speculates about the secret “Putin Trump's Epistle” and new political unions that do not fit into existing formats.
