Spain wins Euro 2024

The Spanish national team beat the English national team in the final match of the European Football Championship. The game ended with a score of 2:1.

The first team to reach the Euro 2024 final was Spain, beating France 2-1. The match took place on July 9. The next day, England beat the Netherlands by the same score.

Spain reached the Euro final as Group A winner, beating Italy, Croatia and Albania. In the playoffs, the team defeated Georgia, Germany and France.

England also finished first in a group that included Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia. In the play-offs, England beat Slovakia, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Spain and England have met twice at the Euro, with the 2024 match being the third. England beat Spain both times.

The Opta supercomputer estimated the chances of Spain winning the final at 60.4%, while the computer estimated the probability of England winning at 39.6%. The statistical company Gracenote (Nielsen) calculated that the probability of Spain winning is 62%.

This year, the Georgian national team took part in the Euro for the first time. The team managed to reach the round of 16, where it lost to Spain.
