Trump Shooter May Have Been a Gun YouTube Fan

The shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate US presidential candidate Donald Trump, may have been a fan of the Demolition Ranch YouTube channel about weapons. This was noted by the Agency.

The publication cites a photo published by the New York Post tabloid. According to the Agency, an American flag can be seen on the sleeve of the T-shirt that Crooks was wearing.

The publication claims that the T-shirt may be merchandise from the Demolition Ranch YouTube channel, which posts videos about weapons. The channel has 11.6 million subscribers. The channel's author posted a photo of the already-killed Crooks on his Facebook page with the caption "What the hell?"

The fact that the shooter could have been a Demolition Ranch fan is also written by the channel's subscribers in the comments to the post. "It makes sense that he's a fan... learned everything he knows about accuracy from your videos, including the part where you don't zero the rifle," one of them wrote.

Other subscribers expressed support for the channel's creator: "Glad you had the same reaction as the rest of us, especially (presumably) to the T-shirt with your logo. Obviously you had nothing to do with it, but be on your guard as censors are looking for any excuse to take down your channels. We support you! Good luck!"

NBC News also concluded that Crooks was wearing a T-shirt from the YouTube channel Demolition Ranch. "The bleeding man is wearing a gray T-shirt with an American flag on the sleeve, the writing on which is partially obscured. The design and writing on the T-shirt match the design of the T-shirt, which is still sold on the YouTube channel's website," the channel writes.

NBC News notes that Demolition Ranch is part of a larger network of YouTube channels dedicated to demonstrating and testing weapons.

CNN was able to contact Crooks' father, but he said he was trying to figure out "what the hell is going on" and would "wait until he talks to law enforcement" before commenting to reporters about his son.

An assassination attempt was made on Donald Trump during his speech at a rally in Pennsylvania. One of those present at the rallysaid that he tried unsuccessfully to draw the police's attention to the shooter. After the assassination attempt, Elon Musk said that there had been two attempts to kill him in the last eight months.
