The court in Moscow considered the pages of stores on which they sold toilet paper with the image of a thousand -ruble bill insulting the feelings of believers

The Preobrazhensky District Court of Moscow banned the pages of four online stores on which toilet paper with the image of a thousand-ruble bill was sold. Attention to court decisions was drawn by the “layout”.

Pages with souvenir toilet paper from the stores “Filkina Gramota”, “Startex”, “Glavchudo” and “Sima-Lend”, which are known to the flash mobs in support of Vladimir Putin, became prohibited to spread. Oleg Alypov, the prosecutor of the Preobrazhensky district, previously demanded to ban this information.

As stated in a court decision in the case of Filkina Gramota, a bill of 1000 rubles of a 1997 model depicts a monument to Yaroslav the Wisdom, "classified as the saints revered by the Russian Orthodox Church." The image of toilet paper with this bill can insult the feelings of believers, in connection with which the pages on which it is sold must be blocked. A similar wording is given in the case of the Sima-Lend store.

“In a free democratic society, the freedom of thought, words, opinions and information disseminates the dissemination of illegal information materials that can offend the religious feelings of believers,” the prosecutor’s office insisted in court. Judge Julia Kuznetsova agreed with this.

According to the “layout”, pages with the sale of toilet paper have already been removed from the sites of Glavchudo and Sima-Lend . At the same time, the links in Filkina Literacy and Startex are still available.
