On July 17, Komsomol members who were holding a protest against public transport reform were detained and released the same day in Omsk, the Pravda newspaper reported .
The activists walked through the city with a model of a bus falling apart on the move, which they themselves called a "tarantass breathing its last". In this way, they criticized the increase in the cost of travel on public transport to 40 rubles and wanted to draw attention to the problems of the city bus fleet.
The Komsomol members were held at the police station for three hours and released with a warning.
