Saint Petersburg State University (SPbSU) did not renew the contract with Associate Professor of the Department of History of Foreign Literatures Yuliana Kaminskaya. She herself reported this on her social networks, the publication "Bumaga" noted .
"After 33 years of teaching at our university, my contract was not renewed. The management's decision did not surprise me, there is no need to ask about the reasons," she wrote on VKontakte.
As Kaminskaya told Bumaga, she was told that her rate had been cut. The woman tried to find out why the management had made such a decision, but it was never explained to her.
According to the publication, Kaminskaya attended hearings on the case of military “fakes” against artist and musician Sasha Skochilenko and spoke in support of philologist Svetlana Drugoveyko-Dolzhanskaya, who was also fired from St. Petersburg State University.
- Svetlana Drugoveyko-Dolzhanskaya, being an expert for the defense, criticized the linguistic examination of the Sasha Skochilenko case, which was compiled by St. Petersburg State University teachers Olga Safonova and Anastasia Grishina. They found that Skochilenko was spreading false information about the Russian army. At one of the court hearings, Drugoveyko-Dolzhanskaya questioned Safonova, who was unable to confirm the words previously written in the examination that Skochilenko "intentionally" distorted information about the war.
