The State Duma has allowed all bailiffs to use force, electric shockers and weapons

Today, the State Duma adopted in the second and final reading a bill that extends the right to use physical force, special means and firearms to all bailiffs.

Currently, the law on bailiffs permits the use of violence only by those who “ensure the established order of the courts’ activities.”

The government, in its amendments introduced at the end of April, proposed introducing “special training” and “periodic inspections at least once a year” for bailiffs.

The law on bailiffs describes the conditions for the use of violence. This is possible, among other things, to repel an attack on a court or participants in a trial, to forcibly bring a person, to prevent crimes and offenses, and also in the event of resistance to the bailiff himself or escape from custody.

They decided to add to them “neutralization of an animal that threatens human life.”
