During the debate in the Vologda City Court, the prosecution demanded that local lawyer Yevgeny Molotov be sentenced to two and a half years of correctional labor with 5% of his earnings withheld in favor of the state in the case of donations to Navalny's team. This was reported by SOTAvision.
Molotov is accused of financing extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code) because, according to investigators, he transferred one thousand rubles to the FBK account on August 5, 2021.
In the winter of this year, a search was conducted in the lawyer's house, after which he was sent to a pretrial detention center. In April, the measure of restraint was changed to house arrest. When requesting a term, the prosecutor's office asked to extend it until the decision of the appellate instance, that is, until the sentence comes into legal force.
On July 26, Molotov was asked not for correctional labor, but forced labor, the “Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial” project clarifies .
