The Ministry of Justice included in the list of extremist 55 organizations

The Ministry of Justice of Russia included at the list of extremist at once 55 organizations that deal with the issues of self -determination of peoples living in Russia.

The department called them all the structural units of the "anti -Russian separatist movement", which the Supreme Court of Russia recognized as extremist in June 2024. There was no known about the organization with this name before the court decision.

The Ministry of Justice determined that the movement strives for "the destruction of multinational unity and the territorial integrity of Russia."

Among organizations now included in the list of extremist are the “Aboriginal Forum”, the Congress of the Buryat people, the Free Nations League and the Free Russia Foundation, which was founded by Russian emigrants in the United States in 2014.

There are now more than 160 organizations in the extremist list of the Ministry of Justice, a third of which falls on the "units of the anti -Russian separatist movement." Their activities in Russia are prohibited, large fines and terms are threatened for participating in it.
