The owner of the deceased Shiba Inu named Kabosu, who became the prototype for the Doge meme, has acquired a new dog of the same breed named Neuro. The woman reported this on her blog.
The publication says that Neuro is 10 years old. According to the owner, the dog's last years were filled with "difficult, scary and sad events." The blog also published photos of Neuro, in which she sits on the laps of family members and goes for a walk.
However, after Neuro's owner announced that she had gotten a new dog, several coins named after the pet appeared on the cryptocurrency market, leading to an increase in trading, despite the fact that overall interest in meme coins is falling.
As Binance writes with reference to BlockBeats, two NEIRO coins were created on the Solana network. One of them has already reached a trading volume of $296 million and a market value of $11.3 million. The second coin has reached $140 million in trading volumes and a market value of $23.1 million.
In turn, the owner of Neuro said that she does not support crypto projects, except for the one associated with the previous pet Own The Doge. The Forklog portal also warned that the token launched on the Ethereum network could be fraudulent. The portal, citing the blockchain analytics service Quick Intel, writes that the token owner can manipulate its price or prohibit users from withdrawing and investing funds.
A Shiba Inu named Kabosu died on May 24 at the age of 18.5. The dog became popular in 2010 when a meme called Doge appeared based on a photo of him with his paws folded. In 2013, the first "meme" cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, appeared.
