
The former priest of the Russian Orthodox Church, Hieromonk, John Kramoyarov, freed himself from a correctional colony in St. Petersburg. He served a term in the criminal case of "fakes" about the Russian army. It is reported by RusNews.
Kurmoyarov was detained in July 2022, he was arrested. According to investigators, the priest’s crime consisted in the fact that he published 62 videos on the Utube channel "Virtual Orthodox Coming" C "knowingly false information about the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine." The accusation claimed that the motive of Karmoyarov in the publication of the video was based on political hatred and self -interest. The latter was that in the comments on his YouTube channel, the priest collected donations.
John Kurmoyarov pleaded his guilt and repented.
In August 2023, John Kurmoyarova was sentenced to three years in a colony. He was also forbidden to administer sites for two years. The priest was credited with the term of stay in the pre -trial detention center.
