The Ministry of Justice has included the English language training center Education First in the list of “undesirable” organizations

The Ministry of Justice added the international educational project Education First, the Assembly of the Peoples of the Caucasus, and the association of anti-war Russians in Poland Ostmost to the register of “undesirable” organizations.

It is not known what exactly caused each case to be included on the list. According to the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General's Office declared these organizations "undesirable" on July 16.

Education First is an English language training center with its central office in Switzerland. The project appeared in 1965, and has been operating in Russia since 1995. In 2014, the center was an official partner of the Sochi Olympics, and in 2013, the Universiade in Kazan.

The Assembly of the Peoples of the Caucasus is headed by Chechen political scientist Ruslan Kutayev, the organization is registered in France. The Ostmost Foundation was registered in January 2024. It is headed by oppositionists Natalia Shavshukova, Yevgeny Domozhirov and Oleg Rodin, who left Russia after the invasion of Ukraine began.

Today, August 5, the Prosecutor General's Office also recognized the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation as an "undesirable" organization.
